Welcome to our Nursery Class!
Come and meet the staff......
Teacher: Miss Stone
Welcome back to a new year at Nursery!
We look forward to spending time with your children and enjoying their learning through play. The children will have access to 2 different classrooms and a shared outdoor area. We hope to have our new outdoor area with running tracks and all weather turf ready for the second half of the Autumn Term. Fingers crossed!
Our Topic This Half Term is...
All About Me
This half term we will be thinking all about our 'Ourselves.' We will also be looking at our family, how we can keep ourselves safe and we will be thinking about our feelings and emotions. Our learning will focus around 7 key questions;
Who is in my family?
How do I keep safe?
What makes me happy?
What makes me feel sad or angry?
How can I make others happy?
How do I look after my body?
In maths we will begin with assessing what the children know already. After which we will focus on recognising our numbers to 5, careful counting of objects and recognising the 4 key shapes; circle, square, triangle and rectangle.
