CHANGES TO THE SCHOOL DAY - MORNINGS

SAFEGUARDING NEWSLETTER

It has been noticed that during the morning drop off, there are a few issues that have been brought to the attention of management;

  • Class teachers/staff members are being distracted by parents, which is taking them away from focusing on the children. This has potential for safeguarding as the staff member is not able to fulfil their role effectively in monitoring the children.
  • Obstruction on the pathway leading in and out of the school gates – potential hazard and also potential for children to leave the school gates unsupervised.

Due to safeguarding concerns, all parents are requested to drop the children off at the main gate. There will be staff members on the gate to greet the children. In order to ensure that there is a smooth transition into school, the gates will open from 8:45am and shut at 8:55am.

The children will go straight into the classrooms and not on the playground, where a member of staff will be based to receive the children.

If parents need to speak to the class teacher, please use the following options as form of communication; make an appointment via the school office, child’s reading diaries or the school email – admin@snapewood.nottingham.sch.uk
