Road Safety Incidents

As there has been another incident of a child being hit by a vehicle today in the local area, and because many of the children saw the attending emergency service vehicles, we have addressed the topic of road safety in school today. This was done in an age-appropriate and sensitive way with the children, with the focus being on reminding them how to stay as safe as they can around roads.

In the next couple of weeks it will be the annual Road Safety awareness campaign and competition in school and across the county for KS2. We would encourage parents and carers to support their children in reading through the road safety booklet to support them in learning the rules of the road etc.

Following a request from pupils in KS1, we will also be organising a special quiz for class 1 and 2 to coincide with KS2.

Thank you for your support.
